If your goal is to get good at Spanish, then you shouldn't set that as your goal. You should set something like I'm going to do an hour of immersion every day for a year. Those are all things that you actually have control over. They lead up to more fluency they lead up to that eventual goal. But if you just focus on the goal itself,. You don't actually have a lot of control over that final destination.
