Elon Musk and Twitter's Merger

Musk reportedly started acquiring shares of Twitter on January 31st. By the middle of March, he had acquired more than 9% of the company. SEC rules require that once you own more than 5% of a company, you file a form called a 13G. Musk filed it late and reasonable inference is that he did that to save money on the rest of his purchases. If the market got wind that Elon was buying, the price would go up.
