Is There a Liaison Between Sales and Engineering?

The big problem that I see for most sales and engineering organizations is they're not giving enough budget to buy the tools that they need. There's something about a closer alignment with product that or product marketing or I don't know what it is, but there is room for improvement there. If you haven't read Mastering Technical Sales, which is like an old school, I think that's a really good book. And just take there, there is a lot of formal training now for SEs. Those are worth investing in.
