The phrase learning at the point of need has been out in learning community for a while, and it sounds like what you're describing. What's the stuff i need to do my job? Let's go act on that knowledge now that we have it, right? Yeh, that's exactly it. I'v found myself defining more clearly in light of that comparison to learning. So take training for example: It serves a purpose still, right? We need to be instilled certain kind of values and concepts and theories.
