How to Decouple Stress With Vagal Tone Activities
When you awaken in the morning, your cortisol is theoretically the highest it's supposed to be throughout the day. So strengthening vagal tone can be very helpful to reducing the frequency that that HPA axis gets tricked. And I had to learn when I would see masks to manually override, to intentionally override that stress response and remind myself I was safe. But for a lot of us, we tend to have a hyperactive stress system.
