If you come from a dis functional home, it might be very difficult for you to identify your feelings. One of the most important things that a parent can do is ask their child, how do you feel? How doo know that you feel that way? What's happening in your body? When i ask my little five year old niece, how do i know she's happy? She says, my belly feels good. Ok. That's how she knows, her belly feels good or says, her heart feels full. This means that she is connecting a feeling to her body, which is really, really healthy.
