The Databricks Story
Databricks was founded in 2013 by a group of students at UC Berkeley. They were working on machine learning AI and wanted to open source the technology so it could be democratized. The company has since gone from strength-to-strength, raising over $100 million this year. In 2012 they had just 12 employees but now have more than 1,000 people involved with their work.
