When you're running for that long I can't help but think there's a lot of time where you're almost disconnected from your body. Do you find that there's times in these races where you'realmost hallucinating or having what other people might call some kind of a spiritual trip? Absolutely and in some of these longer things where sweep deprivation becomes an issue, a lot of ultra runners do hallucinate.
