How to Survive a Problem

As soon as I decide something is a problem, then I start collecting evidence that I might be right. My child getting in trouble at school isn't what makes me feel anxious or worried because I don't feel that way until I become aware of it and start having thoughts about it. The person that we're talking about hasn't changed. I just now start noticing they are that way. Now I notice. So now I've just created a slightly different experience for myself because of what I'm focusing on. This is not a good thing, but it's just the truth. Who can sit down and read a book? I can't.
