Do You Know How to Take Your Own Pulse When Feeling Anxious?

When somebody has a heart tack, i learned that the first thing that i was supposed to do was take my own pulse. If i rush in like, oh no, you know, i got, i got to help, i could actually add to the problem. The idea is, if i take my own pulse, it gives me a chance to calm down and say, ok, you know, take it. So the proverbial pulse taking is really just taking a couple of deep breast tod literally calm our nervous system. And when our prefontal cortex can come back on line, then we can go in and run the code and actually help the person that's having a hard attack.
