Struggles and Resilience: Myanmar Migrants in Thailand

This chapter examines the difficult experiences of Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand, focusing on their challenges with police exploitation, xenophobia, and economic dependency. It highlights the lives of two young men navigating the dangers of police harassment and limited job opportunities, while also discussing the stark salary disparities they face. Amidst their struggles, the migrants express both resentment and gratitude for the chance to work in Thailand as they seek better opportunities.
