Are We All Fallible and We All Lack Knowledge?
I think fallibleism is at the heart of this philosophy. We are all fallible and we all lack knowledge. So why is it that many parents feel justified in an authoritarian approach to their dealings with their children? It's dangerous. If you try to channel children into your vision of how they should be, what if you're mistaken? There are these implications of the fact that we're fallible that are just completely not taken into account by the school system. Our minds are not buckets into which you can pour knowledge like the entire school system seems to assume. I have no idea how to tweak the existing school system to make it take children seriously.
