The word adaptation is more appropriate for humans. I think we are made to adapt. The term often uses adaptive capacity. So you have these four different areas where you want to build capacity, physical, metabolic, physiological and psychological. And the way I would compare is like, either you can compare to either someone you admire or yourself.
