Exploring a Disorganized Childhood

In the 50s growing up children had music because if you learn music that you were developing a brain that could then understand mathematics. My dad came in one day and said, how much is that flute rental? And I told him and he said, you know, it's not worth it. Then I actually got pretty good at playing the tuba. So funny how things never really sure how the direction is going to go, which is the thing about exploration.
