Clare had a 12 millimeter melanoma and was given three months to live. She took comfort in the human potential, movement, specifically st. St was a new age therapy popular in the seventies which was famous for these brutal, daylong encounter sessions. Clare experimented with trying to alter her mind set, even trying to contain her cancer with her mind. Her son Noah believes this is exactly what doctors found when they removed her eye.
