The Role of Triglycerides in Muscle Energy
Triglycerides are three fatty acids on a glycerol. There's another type of glycerol lipid where there's only two fatty acids attached to glycerol and that is called a phospholipid. We don't measure them routinely in the blood, but they're super crucial. Muscles of course need triglycerides for fuel preferentially. Your fat cells are happy to store your triglycerides until one day maybe you do need some energy.
