The only true indications for IV nack where you have to use it are established liver failure, pregnancy, and inability to tolerate the PO nack. So comparative data says you can use PO, you can use IV, right? Basically similar advocacy. It's not commonly used for a few reasons: One, it stinks. Two, it tastes like rotten eggs. And three, everybody's upset.
