Decolonization Is Not Accountable to Settlers
Tuck and yang argue an ethic of incommensurability, which guides moves that unsettle. Innocence stands in contrast to aims of reconciliation, which motivates settler moves to innocence. Reconciliation is about rescuing settler normalcy, about rescuing a settler future. Still, we acknowledge the questions of those wary participants in occupy oakland and other settlers who want to know what decolonization will require of them. The answers are not fully in view, and cannot be. But we will find out the answers as we get there.
