The Delta 757-300's Hot Cabin
The plane sat in 114 degree heat for three hours, and the cabin got so hot that people fell ill. Ben airplane cabins heat up quickly, and air conditioning systems really aren't adequate for extreme heat on the ground. Engines at idle don't have enough bleed air to provide adequate cooling until takeoff. The Department of Transportation is investigating.
