Designers can be super helpful to product teams by making representations of that stuff. It helps the team crystallize it more quickly and then help them iterate it more quickly. The whole process of developing system services products software is necessarily a highly political process not political in an adversarial sense but political in the sense that it is about deciding what's important, where we are and where we want to go.
