Coincidentally, we have recently published another study a focusing ona peculiar type of obicity that develops after cessation of cigarette smoking. And to make a long story short, wev found a similar co operation between the microbium and the host in generating compounds that could drive this obesity a phenomenon after smoking cessation. So it seems that the concept, which we term the holobiant concept, in which you can regard a human as a combined set of microbs and human cells, could contribute to many of the more complex health outcomes that are so concerning to many people.
