The Process of Relearning Habits
Habits are generally good, and there are few pesky ones that come a get in the way. The process set up really for survival is called 'reinforcement learning' In modern day we talk about those in terms of positive and negative reinforcement. And this process is said to be what the buddhy was contemplating the night of his enlightenment. It's also just as pragmatic as somebody trying to break a bad habit.
