The Effects of Aspirin on Cancer Prevention

There's a significant interaction here by time back in the day when people were having colon cancer and not getting screened regularly. Now there's guideline recommendations to screen for colon cancer, and any protective effect that there may have been of aspirin is gone. I think this just suggests that overall, aspirin definitely doesn't have any outside the heart benefits. There may be some benefit in MI prevention, that has been pretty much attenuated by concurrent use of statin in the contemporary patient population.
