A lot of people who get power, or become successful or get a position of leadership, they suddenly feel entitled. You are not entitled to one iote of respect or obedience from the people you lead every moment every day. Nobody will respect you just because you have a title. They might be a little bit afraid of you. But they don't really respect you in any deep way. And that is a deadly, deadly emotion that will kill that electrical charge of authority I'm trying to talk about.
