In high school, i suffered serious injury and had to be air carried to the hospital. The year after that, i did end up wheezling my way on to a college team. I think i really came into habits as a practitioner before i came into them as a writer or researcher. But it wasn't until a couple o years later, when i started writing about habits and eventually worked on the book, that iwas able to put words to what that experience was like.
