We have free will to decide between two equally good alternatives, but that's not particularly important. What makes us guilty or praise worthy or blame worthy is choosing between what we believe to be right and what we feel like doing. So it's in moral decision making where there's an obvious moral choice versus some kind of compulsion to do something immoral, that's where you think free will is most obvious.
