The Number One Thing You Can Do in a Race Is Positioning Yourself

In any race, you want athletes to be as mentally exhausted from decision making and concentration as physically exhausted. So I'm saying to people who have got unbelievably good fitness, act as if you have zero fitness. And that's kind of where I'm coming from now. My fitness is not as good as yours. So I have to play some other cards, which is positioning myself and conserving my energies for when it counts.
