How Did You Know That Non-Engineers Wanted to Build a Google Contacts Integration?

How did you come up with the idea that non-engineers wanted to hook stuff up like this? Because it's very possible that you could build it and nobody would care about it. We're pretty sure that people would pay money for it. But at its premise, it kind of makes sense. If you can save an engineering resource, engineers cost a lot of money. So if you can automate something for them, they're willing to pay some money for that.
