The Role of Toxins in the Pathogenesis of C-Diff

The best evidence seems to exist for the C-diff toxin receptors being some sort of carbohydrate domain. The three proposed host factors are decreased toxin receptor production in neonatal colons, maternal antibodies, and then the neonatal microbiome is being protective. It turns out there are probably at least three host factors and one C-diff factor.
