How we respond to our emotions really dictates how we're going to feel, not just now. How we have typically responded to loss is going to be part of how we respond now and in the future. When we experienced disappointment, but we call it anger, again, this displaces how we really feel. We might call it anger because we find it easier in that instance to be like, I am so angry.
