Are Pious Things Loved Because They Are Loved?

Socrates asks the question: Are pious things loved because they are holy or are they holy because they are loved? He doesn't actually address that difficulty as much. It's one thing I love about Plato is where our modern minds are like, ah, yes, but here's some vegary Plato sometimes just doesn't he just doesn't even address it.
