How Did You Design Your First Cookbook?
The aesthetic was a mash-up of like my husband's ideas of good graphic design and my personality. The color scheme that we ended up on which is primary colors the outside of the book is blue but the inside is blue red and yellow. Those have kind of become my brand colors symbolizes those first geometric shapes and tools that you learn when you're in kindergarten or preschool. They're sort of like playful and young and child like and that is the spirit I would say of my book in the way that I teach in general where it's like we don't take ourselves too seriously because cooking has to be fun if we're gonna do it every day.
