The Importance of Gentle Approaches to Influence

There is some research showing that when we want someone in our lives that we really care about to change. We tend to be overly assertive about it and we push so hard that they kind of tune us out. A lot of the times there's just some actual barrier that's stopping me from doing this, but once that barrier is removed, it's a lot easier to imagine it. Another thing is that influence is cumulative. So it's not just this one attempt by one person to get this person to change. It's like, I say something gentle, so you know my opinion on it. And then a friend maybe has an opinion and maybe a doctor has a similar opinion as well
