Is There a Training Effect on Ventilatory Muscles?
Masks don't simulate altitude. Partial pressure of the air you breathe through a mask is literally the same partial pressure as the air outside the mask. No benefits for v o two masks, peak power output, or a variety of other arobic and anerobic outcomes. A r p e, perceived exertion, was generally increased by about two points at the same work load. But it just made exercise suck and did not enhance adaptations.
