The Effects of Rest Periods on Central Fatigue
When I was going through the workout is too too different. When you take those shorter rest periods, because of the fact that you're not allowing some of that central fatigue to subside. So we don't leave those rests between sets. We're not going to get the levels of recruitment in the subsequent sets. Those metabolites that you were just talking about in those runners, basically the accumulation of metabolites, when it reaches a certain level, is going to stimulate receptors inside the muscle. It's going to create super spinal central nervous system fatigue.
