The 9-5 job, it causes us to become detached or separated for what truly matters. It also increases our irritability and the number of negative emotions we experience. We are more likely to see higher rates of risk behaviors like substance abuse,. excessive drinking, gambling, and even reckless driving amongst people who are suffering from boredom.
Many of us in our 20's have become disillusioned with the 9-5 lifestyle and the reality of working an office job for the rest of our lives. Psychology shows us that the 9-5 job is not only inefficient but unnatural, leaving us feeling burnt-out, unmotivated, detached from the things that matter and searching for an alternative that offers both freedom and flexibility.
