Empathy Is the Antidote to Shame
In the ruptures of trust that can also be or betrayals of trust where we can have trauma we also have shame. We learn about shame in relation to other people we internalize that experience it's as if we can hear that voice of the person who shamed us and then we make it our own we use it ruthlessly and relentlessly on our own. The way that I talk to myself is not how I would ever talk to another human being but somehow I've allowed myself to do this, she says.
