How Do Different Types of Exercise Affect Your Stress?

This is the link between the body's stress system and the parts of the brain that are that tell our bodies to move. Researchers in Philadelphia have traced the neural pathways, so literally the wiring diagram from the adrenal glands which sits on top of our kidneys. They've traced those all the way back to the brain to see where they end up. It suggests that if you're feeling stressed, then one way to regulate that response is not about thinking your way out of it. And that might also explain why things like yoga and Tai Chi and Palates are sorts of exercise that are known for reducing levels of stress.
