What Is Standard Practice for Weight Loss?

In this study, participants enrolled in a weight loss program through our hospital. And what that consisted of was advice to cut calories by about 500 calories per day below their resting metabolic rate. So they met with a registered dietitian about once a month, every month, throughout the study. They were also counseled to increase their physical activity and to exercise.
