The Social Relationship Between Images and Antisemitism

The spectacle is characterized by a social relation among people that is mediated by images. In Nazi Germany, they used the spectacle to spread their antisemitic agenda. The spectacle allows such horrors to occur or it facilitates them because it reduces people to images and so you don't actually have a relationship with other people. It also provides a zone of a sensible gratification away from the harms of capitalist society.
