Are You Doing Retrieval Practice?

Tom Sherrington put out a really good blog that I know you retweeted and I did as well about quizzing and retrieval practice. The important thing is not that the five questions they're doing on a particular day are linked to the other four questions or the content of the lesson. It's about the connection to the students prior knowledge. In terms of what it means for my own retrieval, it basically just means that I'm constantly adapting the kind of questions that I'm giving students based upon what I've seen in prior lessons. But more importantly than the time break, it's actually that kind of retrieval strength break where there's a bit of effort to retrieve it but it's not so
