Botulinum toxin was abandoned as a bio weapon for the same reasons that ricin was abandoned if you remember in that episode. The dosage is hard to control, it's easily inactivated and it now can be treated. It wasn't until the 1960s or 1970s that it was developed for treatment purposes. In keeping with the theme of poisons that we usually use for these types of, for those crossover episodes that we do, I think it's time to chat about the other side of the coin or the end.
