Is There a Constant Mutation?

Celtic languages have confusing, possessive forms that depend entirely on some sort of following mutation to distinguish them. We could look forward to a day when the Celtic languages lose the article entirely and only Lynette. And then it can be like some of these Bantu languages that only have tone changes. Or you'll get a Bantu like eight genders here and seven over here and 12 over there.
