I think people have taken really strong positions on this like kind of Scott Alexander and Robin Hanson really staked out. And it's a thought that two dates, human history, or just the history of life on earth has not been mostly determined by particular actors with ideas about how things should go. But rather by these evolutionary forces. So from that perspective, I can kind of see it may not matter too much if you really kind of want to look at things in this existential risk way.
