I would frame it as first extend and then intensify. What you do is find the right intensity and then spend a few weeks learning to tolerate it better. For at least a lot of athletes based on the research that we've done, what we see is that there seems to be a pretty significant extra cost of really, really taking it up to the highest intensities.
