The Lactate Threshold

I think when you look at people today, you have people spending maybe five, 10% of their total duration of training faster than race pace. You have people spending 10, 20, 30%. It's what we would call kind of the lactate threshold. And then 60, 70, 80% below that. So about 200 kilometers a week, a long run once a week, some fast runs and a couple of interval sessions a week. I don't know what DiCastello was doing down in Australia at the time, but my guess is it was something pretty similar. Yeah. Before that, you had Derek Clayton, who is still quite fit.
