Sensory neuron travels up through the dorsal root into the dorsal part of the spinal cord. This is called the afferent path and it acts upon and fires on the receiving neuron. It then sends a signal down to the bicep in the arm, because we're talking about your fingers just touched a like pinprick or a painful stimulus. And this contraction causes the limb to pull away from that painful stimulus. So there is your reflex.
