There's an amazing group in LA led by a friend of mine, a great guy called Dave Fleischer. He ran a unit for the LA LGBT center and he was like, no, that's not what we need to do. As a referenda in California in 2014, might have been 2012 actually, may have been the election. That rejected gay marriage in California and it was a really fucking bit of blow because people really expected that one to win. And normally what happens in the US, most democracies, when you lose is you basically go back to your supporters and figure out how you could have ginned them up more. So they voted against gay marriage. It doesn't really matter
