The Preparation Phase for the Ultra Marathon Athletes

The next block is going to be VO2 max. So we need to work on a little bit of running economy, running at speed. In this period, it can also be useful to do some strength training. I would keep two or three times a week, but those are short sessions. Probably cut that down quite a lot as we get into the season because it's not that specific to the goal. And maybe once a week in a specific phase just as maintenance for that work.
