What's the Point of Identifying Your Taste?
If you can identify your own taste, that's really valuable for making a game that you like. Taste also always comes before skill. You're going to know what's good long before you can make what's good. And then as a side benefit, you will probably find stuff that you like that you didn't expect to like.
